To celebrate the New York City subway’s 100th anniversary, Sprint is giving away $10 MetroCards in exchange for used cell phones at its 170 Broadway store. A Sprint spokesperson said they have a large number of cards to giveaway, although she wouldn’t specify the number. Employees are offering one card per person. The MetroCard giveaway is part of Sprint Project Connect, a wireless phone donation and recycling program that benefits Easter Seals and the National Organization on Disability. The event starts at 8 a.m. on Monday August 4th, through to 7 p.m. or until supplies last.
