Soccer action
In Downtown Soccor League action, the Rapids and Revolution in the division for 12 and 13 year olds, competed in a spirited and well-played game Sunday afternoon. Although Revolution prevailed 6-2, the game was much closer than the score indicated. Rapids failed to net several blank range shots, and Revolutions goalkeeper, Jimmy Rogers, made remarkable stops on several other attempts. The goalkeeping on both sides was outstanding. As usual, Revolutions offense was led by Nathan Miller who had two goals and three assists. Michael Gallindo, Allan Stolarski, Alex Davis, and James Slade also contributed goals for Revolution. Bahij Chancey, Vitaly Kahn, Thomas Stolarksi, Jordan Segal and Emma Vasta-Kuby also played particularly well for the Revolution, which last week earned a 3-3 tie against a strong Dallas Burn team.
