Sen. John Edwards, who is expected to accept the Democratic nomination for vice president next week in Boston, spoke to an enthusiastic crowd at Chelsea’s Maritime Hotel Wednesday night. Edwards also appeared at Crobar in Chelsea and at a private fundraiser thrown by Lehman Brothers’ executive George Young. The New York Post reported that Edwards raised $1.3 million for the Kerry-Edwards ticket at the three events.
