The South Street Seaport Museum is holding an open house on Saturday April 17 to recruit for positions both on and off-shore.
Volunteers are needed to help sail two historic ships, one being the Pioneer, an 1885 coastal schooner, and the other, the Wavertree, a tall ship. The museum will provide all the training and necessary gear.
There are several land positions available, including a research assistant at the museums library, administrative office work or in the Browne & Co Stationers shop.
The open house will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Street Seaport Museum, 207 Front St. Call Kathryn Dwyer for more information, 212-748-8766.
