South Ferry rescue
Harbor police pulled a 40-year-old Staten Island man out of the water near the South Ferry terminal at 5:25 a.m. Sat. March 20 after he jumped from a ferry as it was approaching the Lower Manhattan terminal. He was taken to Bellevue in stable condition for treatment and observation.
Left bag on chair
A diner at a restaurant at 466 Greenwich St. in Tribeca put her bag on a chair when she left the table for a moment at 11:30 p.m. on Tues. March 23 and returned to find the bag open and her wallet with several credit cards missing, police said.
A patron of a bar at 47 Warren St. between W. Broadway and Church St. discovered at 6 p.m. Mon. March 22 that the wallet she was carrying was gone, police said. The bartender, however, found the wallet and returned it, but $40 and various credit cards were gone.
A motorist told police that she parked her SUV near the southwest corner of W. Houston and Sullivan Sts. on Sunday morning, March 21 and when she returned at 11:30 a.m. the front door on the drivers side was open. Missing was a diamond ring valued at $1,700, a camera and several personal items.
A patron of a restaurant at 36 Cliff St. put her coat in the checkroom on Thurs. March 18 and when she returned at 11:45 a.m. found $100 and several credit cars were missing from the wallet in her coat, police said.
A woman told police that she was riding a southbound No. 1 train shortly before 1 p.m. on Mon. March 23 when an unidentified person pushed and shoved her as the train pulled into the Rector St. station. She discovered that her Coach wallet valued at $500 and credit cards had been taken, police said.
A motorist parked her 1994 Acura sedan at the corner of W. Broadway and Franklin St. on Fri. March 19 and found it had been stolen when she returned at 10 a.m., police said.
