New Fiterman starting to grow from the ground up

Steel columns are now being installed at the construction site of the old Fiterman Hall building on West Broadway. During the 9/11 attacks, debris from Tower 7 damaged the south portion of the building significantly. It was fully demolished in December of 2009. The City University of New York is working with the State Dormitory Authority on the construction of the new Fiterman Hall, which has served as an extension of the Borough of Manhattan Community College’s Chambers Street campus since the early 1990’s.
