AAAC: From the Archive

Asian American Arts Centre has collaborated with Cuchifritos (The Artists Alliance Project/Gallery Space at Essex Street Market) to present the work of eight artists whose contributions to this exhibit are taken from the Asian American Arts Centre Archive. Those featured artists are Charles Yuen, Dinh Q. Le, Dorothy Imagire, Eunjung Hwang, Howardina Pindell, Nancy Hom, Roger Shimomura, and, Sin-ying Ho. By accessing AAAC’s digital archives (www.artasiamerica.org), you can see over two decade’s worth of material. Like its cyberspace counterpart, the exhibit is FREE. Unlike the digital archives, though, you can only see it through Sept. 11 — at Cuchifritos, Essex Street Market (120 Essex St.).
