Director has dish on Florent
Director David Sigal, right, was awarded the Made in New York Award and the Feature Film Award from Mayor Bloomberg last month at the NYC Food Film Festival for Sigal’s “Florent: Queen of the Meat Market.” The movie documents legendary restaurateur Florent Morellet and his pioneering Meat Market eatery, the eponymous Florent, which closed in 2008 after a run of more than two decades on Gansevoort St.
