Volume 22, Number 43 | The Newspaper of Lower Manhattan | March 5 - 11, 2010 Speaker series for 9/11 Museum The National September 11 Memorial & Museum won’t open for at least another couple years, but the museum is starting its programming early with a speakers series targeted toward New Yorkers. Called “9/11, Today and Tomorrow,” the series will examine the continuing impact of 9/11 on everything from security to culture. The four events scheduled so far include: • David Isay, founder of StoryCorps, March 31 • A panel on the 9/11 terror trials, April 28 • Bill Braniff, F.B.I. program manager and counter-terrorism expert, May 19 • David Rhode, Pulitzer-prize winning New York Times reporter who was held captive by the Taliban, June 23 All events will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site at 20 Vesey St. Because of limited space, those interested in attending should call 212-312-8809 or visit national911memorial.org/rsvp.
