New Benevolent leader
Mayor Mike Bloomberg helped inaugurate Jack Eng, the 61st president of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, at a ceremony Monday afternoon in Chinatown. Eng, center, replaces outgoing president Justin Yu, left. Eng, who was elected to a two-year term by C.C.B.A.’s members, has served as president of the Chinatown Republican Party is currently an advisor to China’s Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission.
