THE MESMERIST A re-edited film by director Bill Morrison from a deteriorated nitrate print of James Young’s “The Bells” (1926). Features Lionel Barrymore who, in a dream, is exposed as a murderer by the Mesmerist played by Boris Karloff. Part of World Financial Center’s Silent Film Series. ‘THE LODGER,’ The 1926 movie was Alfred Hitchcock’s first full-length film and suspense thriller. An innocent man is mistakenly accused of being the murderous “Avenger.” Part of the World Financial Center’s Silent Film series. It will be accompanied by an original score by British composer Joby Talbot performed by ‘Present Music,’ a Milwaukee-based new music ensemble. Winter Garden, Fri. Jan. 16 at 7.
