Free ticket offer

Pace University is offering some free tickets to its production of Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost” this Sunday and Monday, after a mix-up led to problems with a similar offer two weeks ago.

Gustavo Suarez tried to take advantage of the original offer, which Pace advertised in the Dec. 4 – 11 issue of Downtown Express. He wrote to the paper and to the university saying there were no free tickets issued the night he went. The Express contacted Pace, which sent Suarez a formal apology and offered him tickets to any of the remaining performances.

Pace also agreed to renew the offer and is making 50 tickets available for the Dec. 20 (7:30 p.m.) and Dec. 21 performances (8 p.m.) for readers who go to 3 Spruce St. between 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. with Pace’s new advertisement on Page 17 of this edition.

Suarez said the school did a good job handling the problem. “All in all, I am happy with how things were resolved,” he said.
