March 26 school panel talk The South of the Bridge Parent & Youth Association will hold a panel next week called “Demystifying Mayoral Control” with speakers including nationally known education scholar Diane Ravitch; Leonie Haimson, founder of Class Size Matters; and Paul Hovitz, former chairperson of Community Board 1’s Youth and Education Committee. The panel with be at P.S. 234, 292 Greenwich St., on Thurs., March 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. An item about the panel in last week’s UnderCover column omitted the date. |
