Volume 21, Number 30 | The Newspaper of Lower Manhattan | DECEMBER 5 - 11, 2008 Free legal advice for seniors A Downtown law center is offering free legal advice on living wills, health proxies and estate planning at a forum next week. The forum will be led by Clifford Meirowitz, founder of Meirowitz & Pellegrino, a law firm specializing in elder law and trusts. Meirowitz is also chairperson of the New York County Lawyers’ Association’s Pro Bono Elder Law Project. The association, which is sponsoring the event, will host the forum in its landmark headquarters at 14 Vesey St. on Thurs., Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. After the presentation, volunteer attorneys will be on hand to answer individual questions. The association asks attendees to email their R.S.V.P. to dlamb@nycla.org and write “Dec. 11 program” in the subject line. |
