Water Chambers
A water main break on the corner of Greenwich and Chambers Sts. stretched for an entire block to W. Broadway on Thursday morning, Oct. 30. Traffic and pedestrians had to find other routes, and 40 customers were left without water for much of the day, said Angel Roman, spokesperson for the city Department of Environmental Protection. Roman did not know why the 12-inch water main broke, but he said it was repaired by Thursday evening.
