Piano music fills the Garden
Twenty-one grand pianos lined the steps of the Winter Garden last Thursday evening. It was standing room only for 88 keys: A Celebration of the Piano. World-class pianists performed Sinfonia Nos. 1 and 2 for 21 Pianos, written by contemporary composer Daniele Lombardi. Another piece, Threnodia for 21 Pianos, was dedicated to the victims of Sept. 11.
