Little Italy got a jump on Columbus Day celebrations, holding its parade on Saturday on Mulberry St. The parade included marching bands and sported a replica World Cup trophy with the addition of soccer players made of cheese climbing it to plant an Italian flag on top — in honor of Italy’s winning the World Cup this summer.
