Downtown Express photo by Elisabeth Robert Major League Baseball is heading into the All-Star break, the World Cup finals are Sunday, but Downtown’s heart is turning to the pigskin as players practiced tackle football on the Battery Park City ballfields last week. It’ll be the first Downtown team and will compete with teams around the city starting Sept. 9.
