Downtown Kobe
Fresh off his 81-point performance a week earlier, Kobe Bryant, who was in town for a game between his Los Angeles Lakers and the Knicks, visited Orchard St. on Monday — not to shop for bargains, but to visit a sneaker store to promote his new Nike sneaker. Bryant scored “only” 40 points against the Knicks Tuesday, but it was more than enough to lead the Lakers to a 130 –97 win.
