Sen. John Kerry of Mass., last year’s Democratic nominee for president, came to the Lower East Side Monday to campaign for mayoral candidate Freddy Ferrer. They stopped at the Betances Health Center on Henry St. where Ferrer spoke about his plan to make sure more children receive public healthcare.
