Free crabs
The River Project, a marine science field station, will host a free tasting of blue crab, at their sixth annual Crab Crunch event on Pier 26 overlooking the Hudson River near N. Moore St. Christopher Letts and Tom Lake, naturalists, teachers and researchers with the Hudson River Foundation will demonstrate how to steam blue crabs, crack them open and eat them. There will be presentations on the natural history of blue crabs and how fishermen catch them. Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance will provide free boat rides on Big G, a retired police launch.
