Closing bell

Carl Weisbrod, center, outgoing president of the Downtown Alliance, rang the Big Board’s closing bell June 3, flanked by his son William, right, and Robert Britz, president of the New York Stock Exchange. Weisbrod has run Lower Manhattan’s business improvement district for 10 years where he helped convince NYSE to stay on Wall St. and pushed for street improvements to make the security barriers around the exchange more attractive. He will be leaving the Alliance July 1 to run Trinity Church’s real estate division.
