Tasty fundraiser

Taste of Tribeca, a culinary fair, celebrated its 11th anniversary last Saturday, May 21. Four-year-old Emmiline Ellsworth, right, enjoys a scoop of homemade ice cream from City Hall Restaurant, one of over 60 featured restaurants at the Taste. Many families came to the event together and there was a kid zone for children to play and do arts and crafts.
Left, Alex Enders and Francesca Soriano sample one of the six tastings their tickets provided from a local restaurant while waiting in line at the Franklin Station Booth. Chicken kebabs are skewered on the grill during the festival for waiting patrons enjoying the weather and the food. The fair is an event held to aid in the funding of public schools P.S. 234 and P.S. 150 arts and enrichment programs. This year the turnout included more people from all over Manhattan, whereas in the past the Taste had mainly attracted its own Tribeca community.
