Cultural design unveiled

The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and architects with Snohetta unveiled the design for the proposed cultural center at the World Trade Center site. The building will be on the northeast corner of the memorial plaza designed by Michael Arad, Peter Walker, and Max Boyd. The cultural building will house the International Freedom Center and The Drawing Center. The building will be raised to allow for unimpeded access to the memorial and the proposed reflecting pools at the Twin Towers’ footprints.
