Celebration for Buddha

Chinatown celebrated Vesak Day with a parade and meditation Sunday May 1. The holiday is Buddhism’s holiest day, simultaneously marking the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha, all of which occurred in May. The event was organized by the American Buddhist Confederation.
