Ellis Island gates

Artists Jeanne-Claude and her husband Christo, who most recently created The Gates in Central Park, accepted the 2005 Ellis Island Family Heritage Award in Ellis Island historic main hall Tuesday. Other award recipients were winemaker Robert Mondavi, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Murray Gell-Mann, NASA Astronaut Scott Parazynski, and Former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
