Online park connections
Chris St. John, a Web producer, took advantage of the new, free high-speed wireless connection in Bowling Green Park last week. The program, organized by NYCwireless and the Downtown Alliance, has proven popular among al fresco freelancers. Volunteers will be in City Hall Park July 25 and Bowling Green Park Aug. 1 and 8 between noon and 3 p.m. to help new users. The connection is also available at Liberty Park Plaza (Liberty and Church Sts.) Rector Park in Battery Park City, the 60 Wall St. indoor plaza, the Pier 17 food court in the South St. Seaport mall and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial near 55 Water St. Last week, about 270 people logged on at one of the sites.
