Bridge rescue
A police emergency service unit responded to a 4:46 p.m. call on Mon. July 7 that a man was at the top of the Manhattan tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. Officers climbed the tower and escorted the man down without injury. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for observation.

Soho bank job
A man walked into the HSBC bank branch at 599 Broadway at 1:15 p.m. Wed. July 9 and passed a teller a note demanding money, police said. The robber, described only as a black man in his 20s, fled from the bank near the corner of Houston St. with an undetermined amount of cash.
