PERFORMANCE

HOLDING HER OWN AT THE STANDARD Maria Schneider leads her orchestra in a 3 night series of concerts at the Jazz Standard from July 18 through the 20th. “Schneider’s Big Band paints musical landscapes full of glowing pastel harmonies and sharp-angled rhythms.” She performs at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 on Friday and Saturday nights and 7:30 and 9:30 on Sunday evening. The Standard is located at 116 East 27t Street and can be reached at 212-576-2232 for information and reservations.
