June date for Fulton subway

PREPORT2014

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority opened the Dey St. entrance to the Fulton Center last year and expects the entire $1.4 billion project, which will provide better connections between 10 subway lines, will open this June. Currently, the authority is installing and testing major systems including elevators, escalators and emergency generators. Architectural finishes on all floors are about 90 percent complete, and are scheduled to be done by the end of March. The center will also have an underground passageway to the World Trade Center train center.

One Response to June date for Fulton subway

  1. Here's hoping that actual improvements in subway line connectivity have been kept deep under close wraps, to this point. Virtually no significant improvement have yet emerged, at "Fulton Center". PLEASE tell us there's more to this project than the glass box, some retail, and a ped tunnel to the WFC PATH station. We need significantly improved subway line transfers, or this entire project is a b-u-s-t !!!!
