A member of the Crimson Kings, a Chinatown-based children’s marching band, carried a non-working rifle to help open the 34th annual Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Festival May 18. The day of festivities at Confucius Plaza and P.S. 124 featured lion dancers and musical performances.
