Lunar New Year at Downtown Hospital
New York Downtown Hospital was not promoting healthy eating last Thursday, but the hospital did offer a snake the traditional head of lettuce to celebrate the Year of the Snake with a Lunar New Year party Feb. 21. Councilmember Margaret Chin, Catherine McVay Hughes, chairperson of Community Board 1, Julie Menin, former C.B. 1 chairperson, and Jeffrey Menkes, the hospital’s president and C.E.O. were among the attendees.
