On Thursday, activists from the Occupy Wall Street movement took over Foley Square to send a message that they have no plans of leaving Lower Manhattan. On Sunday, April Fools Day, hundreds of protesters marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to mark the six month anniversary of the day when the movement found itself in the national media spotlight thanks to a clash with the NYPD that resulted in 700 arrests.
